NANNY-GATE UPDATE: I told you last week that KATE was adamantly against hiring anyone she didn’t know to help care for her 4-month-old son PRINCE GEORGE.
After making a royal pain of herself, the Duchess of Cambridge finally relented when her Prince Charming (aka WILLIAM) tapped someone totally familiar with the crown jewels – 71-year-old JESSIE WEBB, William and HARRY’s childhood nanny, who agreed to come out of retirement to change the royal nappies.
At first, Jessie had turned down Wills’ pleas but then accepted a temporary position only until Kate could find a full-time baby-minder.
But in no time at all, the Granny Nanny became so smitten with gorgeous George that she happily agreed to take the helm as the little blue blood’s official full-time nanny.
“She just can’t put him down,” says My Royal Spy.
“She is truly the grandmother type…exactly what Kate was looking for!”
