TRAVOLTA FLIES TO BE NEAR JETT

 KELLY PRESTON confessed to pals she's been worried because husband JOHN TRAVOLTA, now starring in "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3," kept spending all his free hours piloting his planes solo.

Day after day, Travolta would take off in one of his three aircraft - the 707, an Eclipse 500 or his Gulfstream II - and Kelly feared he was becoming more depressed over the tragic death of their son, JETT.

Travolta calmed her fears, say close friends, when he told her he feels closer to his boy when he's alone up there in the heavens.
