n IDOL 3: SIMON COWELL cracked up, laughing helplessly as he stood at the front door of his newly renovated Beverly Hills mansion with "American Idol" judges PAULA ABDUL and KARA DIOGUARDI - invited over for a grand tour of his spiffed-up digs - and sheepishly admitted: "I can't open my door!"
The trio had been out to dinner together, and Simon asked the ladies to drop by for coffee and a look-see - but suddenly couldn't remember his security code, which had been changed after the remodel.

And because it was Sunday, he had no staff on duty.
