My Palace Spy (or, as I call him, Old Reliable) reports that ginger-maned PRINCE HARRY’s best gal CRESSIDA BONAS just phoned bro’ PRINCE WILLIAM’s gorgeous wife KATE and gushed excitedly: “Harry and I are talking seriously about marriage…I’m absolutely sure he’ll gift me with a diamond engagement ring at Christmas!”
Hate to be the bearer/ barer of bad news, but My Royal Revealer insists there’ll be no ring under Cressy’s Christmas tree this year, explaining: “Kate immediately quizzed William about Cressida’s belief that a proposal is imminent, but William put a damper on her high hopes and told Wifey: ‘There’ll be no Christmas engagement. Harry’s definitely in love with Cressida, but they’ve been together just 19 months – he’s certainly not planning to propose this soon.’”
Kate felt horrible, says my source, knowing how disappointed Cressy will be when she opens her gift and finds no ring – and had even considered breaking the bad news to her.
But William strongly advised Kate to keep her royal nose out of it and stay mum.
