In LA Christmas shopping, adorable ex-“American Idol” wack-a-doodle PAULA ABDUL bopped by her cousin’s West 3rd gift shop Tweak 99 and browsed until she suddenly shrieked, ran out of the store with clothing items still draped on her arms – and wailed at a cop writing her a parking ticket: “Oh, please, I was just coming out to feed the meter… don’t give me a ticket!”
Recognizing Paula instantly, Gentle Gendarme chuckled sympathetically as he listened to her histrionic sob story – then voided the ticket and told her: “My wife’s very upset you’re not going to be on the show this year.”
Paula immediately ushered the guy into her cousin’s shop and told him to choose something for the wife, adding: “No matter what you pick out…it’s on sale!”
The cop ended up choosing two gifts for Wifey at the Abdul “family” discount.
