JUST CALL HER “DOPE-RAH!”

Discovery Channel wheeler-dealers who co-own Oprah Winfrey’s OWN are furious over her sudden decision to abandon the ratings-embattled network for at least two months while she cavorts in front of movie cameras, filming a flick called “The Butler” in New Orleans.

“When Oprah took over as new network CEO last July, she assured execs she’d take firm hold of the reins,” said an insider.

“When ratings finally moved up slightly this year, execs were cautiously optimistic that Oprah’s hands-on involvement would capture a bigger audience.

"But now they feel she’s abandoning them to resurrect her movie career. Oprah thinks she can do both, but OWN execs feel that this is a crucial year – and they’re suddenly being deserted by their own!”
