MORGAN FREEMAN SAVES GIRL FROM RIVER

Seventy-year-old MORGAN FREEMAN – filming “Wanted” in Prague with ANGELINA JOLIE – reacted faster than far-younger co-workers when a Czech female extra suddenly slipped and fell into the turbulent waters of a local river. Not hesitating a heartbeat, Freeman waded into the fast-flowing current, grabbed the woman by the collar and shouted: “Need some help, people!”

Crewmembers plunged in and helped the star haul the woman back to dry land. She was unhurt, but suddenly began to shake and burst into tears just as Jolie came running and wrapped a sweater around her shoulders. Sobbing, the woman blurted: “Are you going to fi re me?” Jolie and Freeman quickly assured the woman she wouldn’t lose her job, then sent her indoors with wardrobe people for dry clothes and a hot drink
