MICHAEL JORDAN GAMBLES AWAY $750,000 IN 6 HOURS
BASKETBALL legend Michael Jordan denies a gambling addiction -- but he dropped a staggering $750,000 playing blackjack in the Bahamas! Michael was on Paradise Island for a celebrity event but slipped away to the Atlantis Resort, where he took over a roped-off blackjack table and went one-on-one with the dealer for nearly six hours. "He was betting $5,000 chips and losing like crazy," said an eyewitness. "At one point he was down 750 grand. But he never got angry -- and drank only water." Michael did manage to recoup $300,000 of his losses, but hey, when you're worth $431 million, what's a few hundred grand? But the evening wasn't a total loss -- wife Juanita won $20,000 playing roulette. Said Michael: "I'm glad someone in the family is winning!"
