MCDREAMY FORGIVES ERRANT FAN

Ripped "Grey's Anatomy" hunk PATRICK DEMPSEY, who pedals his bike nearly 100 miles a week, was zipping down LA's famed Laurel Canyon when a car forced him off the road - and he went flying, crash-landing in a thick pile of brush.

Unhurt, but madder than a hornet, Dempsey climbed back up to the road as an agitated 40-ish woman rushed toward him, babbling: "I'm so sorry... are you alright?"

Distraught, she explained she'd been dialing her cell phone when she drifted toward Patrick. As the star removed his helmet to read her the riot act, she gasped and said: "Ohmigod, are you...Patrick Dempsey? Oh, NO...I nearly killed Dr. McDreamy!"

She burst into tears, and Patrick ended up consoling her, instead of the other way around. "I'm fine, I'm fine," he kept saying, but she kept apologizing. He finally led her back to her car, made her promise never to dial while driving, then waved buh-bye as she drove off sobbing.
