Make no mistake: MATT LAUER’s thrilled that savvy SAVANNAH GUTHRIE’s his new “Today” co-host (or she wouldn’t be there, right, ANN CURRY?) but Matt’s NOT happy that she towers over him in high heels – which is why you’ve been seeing her shod in less sexy low-riders!
Said My Today Tipster: “Poor Savannah – she loves wearing high heels, and Matt didn’t mind that when she substituted in the past, but he’s not happy with her height now that she’s standing beside him every day.”
Matt’s barely 5-feet-11, while Savannah admits she’s “over 6 feet in heels” – a far cry from shorties KATIE COURIC and MEREDITH VIEIRA, both about three inches over 5 feet.
“Savannah’s aware of Matt’s sensitivity, so she agreed to wear low heels – for now, anyway!”
