“Paula sees the show as being a big hit – her and Martha covering the yin and the yang, the low and high end of entertaining and cooking at home,” said an insider.
“She’s in need of an image boost following her diabetes disclosure – but Martha also suffered a heavy hit when Hallmark Channel canceled her TV show for low ratings.”
Reps for both stale cookies say Oprah’s shown interest, but Martha’s still hanging back – and her distaste for Paula’s no secret.
“Martha let it be known that when she’s THAT desperate, she’ll consider it,” said the source.
“But she told me she’d have to hold her nose to even consider working with Paula.”
