Terrifying close call for MICHAEL DOUGLAS, ROBERT DE NIRO and KEVIN KLINE, who’d just finished shooting a scene for their new flick “Last Vegas,” when a lunatic speeding in a red pickup truck somehow got past a road barrier set up by the film’s security crew – and came thisclose to running them down as the wacko driver howled, “Yahoo!”
As the yahoo roared off, says My On-Set Spy, furious Douglas confronted the security guys, who kept babbling excuses as the star bellowed: “The same thing happened when I was working on ‘The Streets of San Francisco’ – and I almost died that time! I did NOT come back from beating cancer just to die on a Street in Las Vegas!”
After setting up new, more secure traffic barriers, the show – as it always must – went on.
