The respected London Telegraph says that just before her wedding, Liza Minnelli told them a spooky tale about visiting Ground Zero — and spotting buddy Ben Vereen holding a body part! Said Liza: “I walked over to him — and he was more crippled than I’ve ever been with my hips and knees and everything — and he was holding a human hand! Just a hand!” Vereen’s manager, Trevor Baptiste, says the story’s “blatantly false,” but blamed The Telegraph rather than Liza.
