Shattered by the deaths of “Frasier” producer/creator David Angell and his wife Lynn — who perished when terrorists slammed American Airlines Flight 11 into the World Trade Center — series star Kelsey Grammer is taking action in a BIG way. The actor contacted the American Red Cross and with their help he and wife Camille — who were introduced by Lynn Angell — “adopted” five families who lost their breadwinner in the WTC tragedy. He’s reaching into his own pocket to set up a fund that will pay their mortgages or rent, all household expenses, schooling costs — whatever’s needed until the families can get back on their feet. And if a wife who’s lost her husband now has to go out to work, Kelsey will see to it that her children have after-school or home care — and he’ll continue to foot the bill for that as well.
