People magazine, the New York Post and others are trumpeting the “news” that just before Princess Diana died, Kevin Costner begged her to be his leading lady in a sequel to “The Bodyguard,” his blockbuster with Whitney Houston. Guys — CATCH UP! Way back in December 1997, I reported exclusively that Kevin had pitched the project to Diana — who was very flattered — after Fergie slipped him the number to her princess phone!
