HILARY DUFF'S SOLE-BARING CRACKUP

Just before their marriage, HILARY DUFF showed up late to join about-to-be hubby MIKE COMRIE and his Edmonton Oilers hockey teammates at a BevHills hotel bash – and she showed up barefoot!

Trouble started when Hilary alighted from her car in the Montage hotel driveway wearing $790 Yves Saint Laurent beige patent pumps, caught a heel in a crack – and it snapped right off !

“Oh, NO…I just got these shoes,” wailed Hilary. “I can’t go upstairs like this.” The hotel manager whisked her to his offi ce, got a hotel engineer to superglue the busted shoe – but when Hilary took a brief test-walk… Crraaackk!...it broke again!

After several failed repair attempts, Hilary said: “Thanks, but forget it!”

She sailed into the banquet barefoot – holding up her busted kicks – and the hockey jocks applauded as devoted Mikey seated his soon-to-be bride.
