Still up to old tricks she learned playing a nurse on her old show “ER,” JULIANNA MARGULIES proved she’d absorbed useful medical knowledge – scoring as a lifesaver for a co-worker on her current drama, “The Good Wife.”
Said a source on the show: “Julianna showed a sharp eye for diagnosis when a hair stylist fretted that she kept losing weight, was always thirsty, and had constant headaches and blurred vision. Julianna suggested that she might have un-diagnosed Type 2 diabetes and urged her to see a doctor right away! And sure enough, Julianna was absolutely right! The doctor said the lady could have turned dangerously ill if she hadn’t come in right away!” Now the Emmy-winning star’s quietly helped put together a fund that’ll help the stricken woman defray the costs of her emergency.
Joked Julianna to a show colleague: “I guess all those years as a nurse on ‘ER’ was good for something!”
