GOLDIE & KATE: ON-SCREEN DUO?

Plotting a big comeback, useta-be GOLDIE HAWN has turned to daughter KATE HUDSON for help, and the two are already poring over potential projects.

Golden Oldie Goldie, who hasn’t had a major hit since “The First Wives Club” in 1996, figures fans will give her another shot at the spotlight if she teams up with her ever-popular daughter.

Kate ordered reps to find a top-notch project, preferably a sophisticated comedy.

“She’s looking for something current and modern,” says a close pal – and a dozen-plus projects have already been messengered. Stay tuned.
