Freddie Prinze Jr. can’t stop chortling about how his best pal, “Scream” star Matthew Lillard, screamed when he “crunched the jewels” on a bad slide at home plate during a baseball scene in their new flick “Summer Catch.” Freddie says Matt “couldn’t walk . . . so we took him to this country doctor” near the flick’s location in Southport, N.C. “But does the doctor bring Matt ice for his black-and-blue whatsits? No, he brings in four nurses instead — who looked Matt over while he was holding his . . . ! I couldn’t HELP but laugh!” Matt got no takers next day when he offered to show cast mates “my bruised stuff”!
