FAT SUIT’S A HORROR FOR “HITCHCOCK” STAR HOPKINS

While filming “Hitchcock,” ANTHONY HOPKINS was miserable and sweaty in the fat suit designed to make him look like a dead ringer for the rotund horror director, so when his director asked if there was anything he could do to make Sir Anthony’s life easier, the star – who’d asked everyone on the set to address him as “Tony” – answered quickly: “Yes! It would make my life considerably easier if I didn’t have to memorize my lines!”

Done, said the director, who hired a cue card expert to write and hold up all of Tony’s lines so he could read them off with ease.
