EDDIE MURPHY NEGOTIATES THE RENT

RENT CONTROL:

Set to film the flick “I Spy” in Vancouver, Eddie Murphy needed a 15,000-square-foot home to lease on location — and insisted it couldn’t be one square foot smaller to comfortably house his large entourage of wife, kids, nannies, etc. Eddie also demanded a great view, ultrahigh security, a swimming pool AND a screening room. Producers found just one house that filled the bill, but the owner said it was for sale ONLY — at $8 million! They finally coaxed the guy to accept a whopping $375,000 for five months.
