"How I Met Your Mother" star NEIL PATRICK HARRIS, after telling TV co-stars that agents are negotiating a return to Broadway in a musical comedy, grabbed a prop rake between takes and showed off a snazzy dance routine until…WHACK!…he blew a step, and the handle slammed him in the kisser.

Everyone cracked up, thinking Hoedown Harris was pulling a gag, but the giggles ended when our heavy-footed hoofer hoofed to the men's room to pour cool water on his cut lip.

Luckily, his bruised ego healed nicely.
