Even though they’re not close pals, MADONNA and ANGELINA JOLIE – who share a common bond as mothers of adopted African children – ended up sobbing their hearts out on the phone. Madonna, upset by reports that yet another woman claiming to be the mother of Angelina’s adopted tot ZAHARA had popped up, phoned the “Beowulf” star and told her to hang in – that she’d had a similar problem when the African father of her adopted son DAVID suddenly claimed he hadn’t understood the word “adopt.” What was supposed to be a brief call turned into an emotional sob-fest that lasted more than an hour – and ended when the moms promised to call each other once a week for support. Delighted Madonna told pals: “I have a new confidante in Angie."
