JESSICA BIEL burst into tears while exercising her two dogs in LA's remote Runyon Canyon when the tail-waggers suddenly streaked off after a squirrel.

Two young guys jogging by gallantly raced after the escapees and brought them back to the relieved star moments later.

"Wow, are you Jessica Biel?" asked the dudes.

Gushing her gratitude, Jessica - anticipating an autograph request - fumbled in her bag for a pen, then was gob-smacked when the guys asked: "Could you get us autographed pictures of JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE?"

Recovering nicely, Jessica jotted the address and promised she'd make her boyfriend make their dream come true.
