Looking like a doddering old fool feeling no pain, WARREN BEATTY lumbered out of the Montage hotel after attending a birthday party for producer/ pal GIL CATES, flipped a tip to the parking valet, hopped in his car and gunned it hard – leaving wife ANNETTE BENING standing at the curb screaming: “Hey, hey!...I’m not in the car!”

Beatty braked to a screeching halt as Annette ran to get in – but while she still had one leg hanging out the door, hubby mashed the gas again and rocketed off as gasping bystanders made shocked comments about his astoundingly stupid, irresponsible behavior.
