NO CLUES IN LAUREN SPIERER MYSTERY

Lauren Spierer missing

Despite a two-minute seg on "America's Most Wanted" about missing blonde co-ed LAUREN SPIERER which drew nearly 40 tips, authorities said they were still baffled.

The 20-year-old blonde co-ed from Westchester, New York disappeared 10 days ago after a boozy night out with pals. She left her shoes and cell phone at a sports bar.

Facebook  and Twitter campaigns fueling frantic searches around the Bloomington, Ind., radius including the apartment where Spierer lived, have yielded zero results as cops remain unable to locate her.

With authorities suspecting foul play, Spierer's distraught mother, Charlene, spoke out, "To the person that has Lauren or that has harmed Lauren, shame on you. Shame on you."

While investigators grilled the students who partied with Lauren before her disappearance last week, scuba teams focused on a lake on the outskirts of Bloomington.

Insiders fear a repeat of the Natalee Holloway disappearance which to date has not yielded any hard evidence despite prime suspect Joran Van der Sloot’s bizarre admissions and denials to media.
