Jessica Simpson’s manager/father Joe has had a dramatic change of heart and decided that her boyfriend Tony Romo is no good for her, insiders say. He initially encouraged the couple’s romance.

“Joe now feels that Tony has become too much of a distraction for Jessica,” a friend told The ENQUIRER.

“Any free time she has, Jess wants to spend with Tony. But rather than blaming his daughter’s work ethic, Joe points the finger at Tony.

“He wants Tony out of her life, but Jessica loves him and won’t even consider leaving him at this point.”

Ironically, it was Joe who introduced Tony to Jessica about 16 months ago, thinking a high-profile love affair with the hunky Dallas Cowboys quarterback would jump-start her foray into country music.

“But if Jessica had her druthers, she’d be married and pregnant. Her main concern is getting Tony to settle down and commit," said the friend.
