Actor Jason Beghe (CSI) slammed his former religion on YouTube.

A devout Scientologist for 13 years, he was even featured in a promotional video. But now Beghe calls the religion, founded by science fiction author L. Ron Hubbard, "destructive and a rip off."

Beghe wasn't just a lesser light in the hierarchy.

The fallen Thetan had achieved a coveted level, joining John Travolta, Kirstie Alley and, of course, Tom Cruise.

"The further up the bridge, the worse you get," Beghe told The New York Post. "It's very, very dangerous to your spiritual, psychological, mental, emotional health and evolution."
