Hollywood and TV legend James Garner, 80, has suffered a stroke.

Oscar nominated and Emmy winning actor, Garner, best known for his TV shows,  Maverick and The Rockford Files, was resting comfortably in a Los Angeles hospital after suffering what appears to be a minor stroke.

The star has had surgery and should be back home soon.
