Michael Jackson’s mother has filed court papers for custody of the late singer’s children. The guardianship papers were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday by Katherine Jackson.

A  custody hearing has been docketed for Aug 3.

 Jackson is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., known as Prince Michael, 12; Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11; and Prince Michael II, 7. The youngest  was born to a surrogate mother. 

The ENQUIRER has previously reported that Jackson was not the biological father to the two born by ex-wife Debbie Rowe.

UPDATE: Katherine has been granted temp custody until hearing next Monday.
