ENQUIRER 20/20 INTERVIEW

description

Historic NATIONAL ENQUIRER ABC NEWS 20/20 interview as Bob Woodruff interviews Enquirer top guns who broke the John Edwards Affair story.

ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff interviewed  Enquirer senior reporter Alan Butterfield and Enquirer executive editor Barry Levine in NYC on Jan. 15 in an historic look at The John Edwards Affair on the eve of former Edwards loyalist Andrew Young’s politicial tell-all The Politician.

The interview was taped for scheduled 20/20 broadcast on Jan. 29, in which Edwards’ former aide Andrew Young will admit he lied in claiming paternity of Rielle Hunter‘s baby to protect Edwards’ failed presidential campaign.  However, with Edwards’ bombshell admission of paternity today the show’s airing may be bumped up.  Keep an eye on local times and listings.

In an excerpt from Andrew Young’s interview with Woodruff, Young says that Edwards asked him to arrange to fake a paternity test.

"Get the doctor to fake the DNA results," Young said Edwards told him.

"And he asked me to steal a diaper from the baby so he could secretly do a DNA test to find out if this (was) indeed his child."

As the ENQUIRER reported exclusively Young testified before the Federal Grand Jury implicating his former boss Edwards before he could pitch his book or be liable for perjury.

In other words, as we said then, Young pulled a "John Dean" a former aide who turned on  President Nixon during the Watergate hearings to save his own skin.

John Edwards finally admitted his paternity of his love child to the world today in his 2nd "confession" in a complete vindication of The ENQUIRER’s exhaustive investigation.
