ZAPPA HARASSER GETS DETENTION

The 40 year-old man accused of threatening to murder Moon Unit Zappa was ordered to leave prison and spend some time in psychiatric detention on Tuesday.

Timothy Brownfield pleaded innocent to charges and has been diagnosed with depression and paranoid schizophrenia. He was arrested after mailing documents to the FBI saying he’d kill Zappa, the daughter of late musician Frank Zappa.

Brownfield, who never actually contacted the younger Zappa, reportedly claimed that Moon Unit and her father stole the lyrics to their popular 1982 hit, “Valley Girl.” He could face up to 5 years in prison if convicted when he goes to trial in January.
