USHER EXITS CHICAGO EARLY

R&B star Usher, who has been playing Billy Flynn in Chicago for the last two months in Broadway's Chicago, has had to cut his engagement short after falling ill with strep thoat on Oct. 6. He has not performed in the show since. "He expresses his sincere apologies to all of his fans who purchased tickets to see him in Chicago this final week and appreciates all of their love and support," Usher's mom told The Associated Press. Usher's absence had disappointed ticket-holders asking for refunds which, according to The New York Post has cost Chicago an estimated $400,000.
