UPDATE: DANIEL SMITH WAS ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS

description

A second autopsy was performed on Anna Nicole Smith‘s son Daniel, who died suddenly on Sept. 10 in the Bahamas. Forensic pathologist Cyril Wecht, who was flown in from the United States, examined the body on Sunday and indicated there was no sign of heart disease, stroke, cancer, systemic infection, pulmonary embolism or “congenital anomaly.” While Wecht could not yet determine the cause of death, he did confirm reports that Daniel was on was on prescription anti-depression medication when he died. Wecht said Daniel was being treated for depression that began about 4-6 weeks earlier but that he does not know whether the medication played any role in his death. Daniel’s medical records have been requested and further tests ordered, but at this point, Wecht said there is no evidence that Daniel Smith died from a “suicidal overdose.”
