Residents of the upscale Brentwood neighborhood in Los Angeles are less than thrilled about Steven Spielberg’s latest UFO-like creation, but this is no Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
It seems the legendary director has his neighbors outraged after beginning construction on a five-story horse-riding ring for wife Kate Capshaw — valued at over $7 million!
“It’s just astounding and obnoxious, exclaimed attorney John Murdock, who’s representing many of the offended residents. “They’re cutting out half the hillside to put in this riding ring… the structure is completely alien to the area.”
With its domed roof and large size, the building looks like it belongs in of one of Spielberg’s movies, but you can bet no one’s in a hurry to see this one. Surrounding land owners are in the midst of trying to stop construction.
