SHATNER BOLDLY LEAVES PRICELINE

You won’t hear William Shatner crooning about priceline.com for much longer. The legendary actor has jumped ship on the Internet “name your own price” company because their stock has plummeted since Shatner first signed on with the organization.

Much of Shatner’s pay for his work, which included those ear-abusing TV ads, was in the form of stocks. That was great when they were trading at $165 a share; not so great now that they’re hovering around $2.

One Wall Street analyst commented, “[Shatner] does not want his name associated with a losing company.”
