Her music video’s been banned in India, but Paris Hilton won’t take no for an answer when it comes making plans to modeling a pal’s clothing line in the country next year. The socialite was approached to model for American designer Anand Jon, who is of Indian descent, during his upcoming campaign in India, even though Indian officials have banned her video, “Stars are Blind” for its explicit content.
Hilton has not yet visited India, but Jon is optimistic that the visit—and her performance—will go off without a hitch. "For her, India is the land of exotica and beauty. In fact, her response was: ‘I finally get to visit the exotic’. She loves Indian culture and the Indian influence on clothes," he said.
The campaign will take Hilton to five Indian locales where she will be photographed wearing Jon’s designs.
Although she has never visited the country, Hilton need not worry that the Indian people are not aware of her background or talents—CD copies of her much-publicized sex romp with an ex retail there for as little as $2.
