OPRAH GETS MADONNA TO BABY TALK

description

Madonna is set to explain her struggle to adopt a 13-week-old Malawian boy to Oprah Winfrey, in a taped interview that will air Wednesday on ABC.

The performer will detail the lengths she and husband Guy Ritchie have gone through to gain custody of the child, David Banda.

Despite the fact that Madonna failed to meet the Malawi residency requirements in order to adopt, a Malawian court approved the interim adoption of Banda, but the child’s father has since come forward claiming he was not aware of the adoption specifics. The 32-year-old father says he believed Madonna would simply care for the child.

Madonna’s chat with Oprah, taped Tuesday in Chicago, will air two days prior to a hearing in a Malawian court to address charges brought forth by a human rights organization claiming that the singer used her celebrity status to circumvent the residency law.

In addition to her Oprah interview, Madonna’s rep has confirmed that she will also appear on NBC’s Today Show on Oct. 30.
