JACKIE CHAN GETS STAR ON WALK OF FAME

Action star Jackie Chan has received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 48-year-old actor’s star — number 2,205 — is located approximately 25 feet from the entrance of the Kodak Theatre, which now hosts the Academy Awards.

“I remember coming to Hollywood and seeing the stars and I wanted one,” said Chan at the ceremony. “To show my appreciation I will make better films.”

About 500 people gathered for the ceremony, including Owen Wilson, who starred with Chan in “Shanghai Noon,” and Brett Ratner, director of the “Rush Hour” movies.

“He idolized Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton,” said Ratner. “It’s perfect he’s on Hollywood Boulevard sharing his star with these people.”

When Chan was asked what’s next for him, he answered: “The Oscar.”
