After months of speculation by the media and denials by Madonna’s reps, it’s finally official: The Material Girl is tying the knot with British film director Guy Ritchie.
The Registrar’s Office in Dornoch, Scotland, published a proclamation of the intended marriage, which is required for all Scottish weddings.
The wedding is scheduled to take place three days before Christmas, reportedly at the Dornoch Cathedral, although the location has not been confirmed.
This is Madonna’s second marriage. She divorced actor Sean Penn in 1989.
