Folks over at NBC must have been quaking in their boots when CBS announced it would be airing ratings powerhouse Survivor against the peacock’s popular Friends.
But NBC is not about to “roll over and die,” says the network’s new entertainment boss. They’re planning to expand their 30-minute hit sitcom by 10 minutes and then run live skits from the cast of Saturday Night Live to round out the hour.
Who will win the 8 p.m. time slot during the February ratings sweep? Most bets are on CBS, with the VCR tuned to NBC.
