Actor Robert Downey Jr. appeared in court on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to the drug charges from his Thanksgiving weekend arrest in Palm Springs.
Downey, 35, asked for a continuance of the arraignment, but the judge declined his request ordering him to make his plea. He was arrested on November 25 at the Merv Griffin Hotel in Palm Springs, CA for possession of cocaine and Valium.
Currently, Downey is out of prison on $15,000 bail, but if convicted on these latest charges he faces a maximum of four years and eight months behind bars.
