DOUGLAS AND ZETA-JONES BUY BERMUDA HOME

description

Recent newlyweds Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have found peace and privacy on the small island of Bermuda.

According to a published report, the couple recently purchased a suave home on the tranquil isle where Douglas often visits. One Bermuda paper reports the house sold for a hefty $2.5 million and contains five rooms and two cottages.

“He was totally attracted because it is totally Bermudian in character and that was a prerequisite when he called to purchase,” explained Buddy Rego, the agent who handled the sale. “It is wooden throughout and not modern. He has strong family connections here and it is very convenient.”

Although Rego would not disclose how much Douglas paid for the home, he did confirm the purchase.
