The ENQUIRER exclusively reports star Gary Busey was evicted from his Malibu home owing more than $50,000 in back rent.

Busey's reps say Gary refused to pay because of unclean air conditioning vents, the one-time star believes are a health hazard.

After Gary spent months haggling with the landlord, the sheriff posted an eviction notice on the door.

"Now he's asking friends to help him get an apartment," said a pal.
