Prince William’s bride Kate hit the roof when she learned their upcoming visit to Hollywood would be strictly business, insiders say – AND demanded to meet Tinsel Town’s biggest stars, including her idol Oprah Winfrey!
“Kate is a dedicated Oprah fan. She admires her for becoming a TV icon after growing up poor. She regards Oprah as American royalty and the queen of Hollywood,” an informed royal source told The ENQUIRER.
The trouble started when 29-year-old Kate, now Duchess of Cambridge, saw the names of people that the royal newlyweds were scheduled to meet during their two-day stop in California after a nine-day visit to Canada, said the insider.
“Kate asked, ‘Where are the movie stars? This bunch is so dull!’ ” the source divulged.
William, 28, explained they were going to California as business ambassadors for Britain – and Kate blew up, said the source.
“She stormed, ‘I want to see Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston and J.Lo!’ ” the insider revealed.
“Kate has never set foot in Canada or the United States, and she’s determined to make this an occasion for the family album. Her anger shocked William. He was all set to do his royal duty, but Kate was having none of it.”
She demanded palace courtiers make a call to Oprah so she could tour the talk-show queen’s $50 million estate in Santa Barbara, and persuaded William to push for introductions to A list-ers, said the source.
“Kate was livid!”
