“Josh has been totally smitten with Erin for awhile,” a source close to the 40-year-old hunk told The ENQUIRER.
“He’s a huge sports fan, and so is she. It turns out they both had a passion for college sports – and, in time, each other!”
Both Josh and 33-year-old Erin graduated from Southeastern Conference universities, and they bonded over their mutual interest in SEC sports, said the source.
“Josh began sending Erin ‘tweets’ saying that he wanted her to think he was cool, and before you know it, they were in love!” the source divulged.
The blonde beauty – twice voted “America’s Sexiest Sportscaster” by “Playboy” magazine – placed third on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” in 2010.
But she dropped out of the dating game after a stalker shot nude videos of her through a hotel room peephole in 2008 and posted the embarrassing videos online.
After a lengthy FBI investigation, then-47-year-old Michael David Barrett was arrested in Chicago in October 2009.
