Controversial suicide assist advocate and convicted murderer DR JACK KEVORKIAN aka Dr. DEATH has died at 83, ironically of natural causes.

The controversial doctor passed at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan on Friday, where he was staying for treatment for kidney and heart problems.

“It was peaceful, he didn’t feel a thing,” his lawyer Mayer Morganroth told the Detroit Free Press.

Since 1990, Kevorkian had presided over an estimated 139 assisted suicides, earning him the macabre nickname, Dr. Death.

Kevorkian was charged with murder four times, and acquitted on three of them, with a mistrial declared in one of them. In 1999, he was convicted of second degree murder in the death of patient Thomas Youk who was suffering from "Lou Gehrig's disease" ALS.

He spent eight years behind bars. His parole ended in 2009.

Kevorkian's career was depicted in HBO bio-pic "You Don’t Know Jack" where he was played by Al Pacino, RadarOnline.com reported.
