STACY PETERSON TOLD PREACHER THAT HUSBAND KILLED EX-WIFE
Missing Illinois mom Stacy
Peterson said she knew her
husband Drew had killed his
ex-wife Kathleen Savio - and The
ENQUIRER has now learned why.
In a chilling confession to her
preacher, the 23-year-old revealed
that she saw Drew washing Kathleen's
clothes less than 24 hours before
her naked body was found in a dry
bathtub, according to a source.
The source says Drew then told
Stacy she was going to be his alibi and
he'd tell her what to say because
the police were going to
question them about
Savio's death.
Stacy's disappearance
and
Kathleen's suspicious
death
have made
headlines
for weeks
as authorities
build a
case against
Drew, a former
Bolingbrook
cop who jokes
with the media and
slings insults at Stacy's
and Kathleen's families.
Police have declared Drew a
suspect in the potential homicide of
Stacy. But before she vanished on
Oct. 28, Neil Schori, a former pastor
at the Westbrook Christian Church,
says Stacy implicated Drew in the
death of Kathleen in an emotional
meeting with him. Schori says Stacy
told him that her marriage to Drew,
30 years her
senior, was
becoming a
nightmare. Drew
constantly accused
her of infidelity, stalked
her and blew off her desires
to divorce him, she told the
clergyman.
Stacy was terrified she would end
up like his ex-wife Kathleen. "She
told Schori she knew Drew had killed
Kathleen and made it look like an
accident," the source said.
Kathleen's body was found just
after 11 p.m. on March 1, 2004. Her
death was declared an accidental
drowning, but authorities exhumed
her body after Stacy vanished and are
reinvestigating the circumstances of
her death.
Will County State Attorney James
Glascow, who was not in office at the
time of Kathleen's death, is convinced
the death was staged to look like an
accident. Her body had a bloody head
wound and numerous bruises.
Drew's alibi was that he was home
with Stacy.
But he wasn't, Stacy told Schori.
According to the source, Stacy knew
Drew was at Kathleen's house several
blocks away.
