NEW TRIAL FOR SCOTT PETERSON -- JUROR'S SECRET LETTERS GROUNDS TO REOPEN CASE
By DON GENTILE
Scott Peterson could
walk out of prison a free
man — and incredibly, it's
all because of the jurors
who sent him to death row for
murdering his wife Laci and unborn
son Conner in 2002.
Seven jury members are collaborating
to write a behind-the-scenes
book on the shocking case that riveted
America. One of them, Richelle
Nice, recently admitted she has been
exchanging letters with the fertilizersalesman-
turned-convicted-killer
since August. Reportedly titled We,
The Jury: Deciding Scott Peterson's
Fate, the jurors' tell-all is scheduled
for a fall release.
But that book could get Scott a
new trial — and set him free.
Legal experts say Scott's lawyers
will examine the book and those
letters with a fine-tooth comb for
any hint of juror misconduct that
could be grounds for Scott getting a new trial. "Clearly the book calls
into question the motivation of
some jurors," criminal defense attorney
Craig Silverman — a frequent
commentator on high profile
crimes — told The ENQUIRER.
