SCOTT'S DEATH ROW DIG
Callous wife-killer Scott
Peterson used his prison
website on San
Quentin's Death Row
for a sarcastic swipe at his victim's
mother — just as her moving memoir
of her daughter went on sale.
Peterson, 33, wrote: "If a rumor I
heard is correct, my mother-in-law,
Laci's mother, deserves
applause."
The rumor, he says, is
that Sharon Rocha will
give all the profits of
her book to an educational
charity.
"I hope that this rumor
is true," he writes.
"Some people have
done things to profit
off of my wife and son
having been taken
from me and murdered. The profits
from this (book) possibly going
to charity would counter this disgusting
trend. If the rumor is true,
what a wonderful act."
An insider said: "Scott's message
seems like a nasty dig at Sharon,
trying to imply she's making money
off of the tragedy.
But Sharon pledges
in the introduction
to her book that she'll use the
proceeds to start a fund for
search and rescue in memory of
Laci and Conner."
Last March, Peterson, of
Modesto, Calif., was sentenced to
death for murdering wife Laci,
27, and their unborn son in 2002.
